Erasmus Weekend in Budapest 2.0 🇭🇺

Castle views, thermal baths, Hungarian food, ruin bars and a boat party on the Danube. This is how you do Budapest properly. 😁

Over the weekend, we’ll explore both sides of the city. Historic Buda is home to the Castle District and some of the best views, while lively Pest is where you’ll find the city centre, ruin bars and most of Budapest’s nightlife.

We’ve been organising this trip for years, so we know how to fit plenty into one weekend without rushing you from place to place. We’ll show you the places worth seeing, take care of the programme and still leave enough free time for you to enjoy Budapest your own way. 💙

FRIDAY | HUNGARIAN FOOD, RUIN BARS & INSTANT-FOGAS 🍻

Once we arrive, we’ll check into our hostel, drop our bags and give everyone some time to rest and get ready. In the evening, we’ll head out together for our first walk through Budapest, followed by a traditional Hungarian dinner. From there, it’s time to explore the city’s famous ruin bars on a pub crawl, with included drinks and shots to get us started. We’ll finish the night at Instant-Fogas, one of Budapest’s biggest nightlife complexes, with your entry included too. 🔥

SATURDAY | CITY TOUR, THERMAL BATHS & BOAT PARTY 🛥️

Saturday is the biggest day of the weekend, but don’t worry, it starts a little later. 😄 Our lovely local guide Odea will show us around the city, share the stories behind Budapest’s landmarks and add her local perspective along the way. We’ll stop somewhere you can try Hungarian favourites such as lángos or chimney cake, before heading to the thermal baths for some very Budapest-style recovery. Entry is already included in your ticket and completely optional. After some free time to rest or explore, we’ll meet again for drinks and street food before heading to one of the main highlights of the weekend: a boat party on the Danube. We’ll cruise past Parliament, Buda Castle and Gellért Hill as the city lights up around us, before continuing by party bus to Morrison’s 2, with entry included as well. 😁

SUNDAY | CASTLE DISTRICT & BUDA VIEWS 🏰

Sunday brings a more relaxed finish to the weekend. Before heading back to Prague, Vít will show us around the historic Buda side of the city, including the Castle District, Fisherman’s Bastion and some of Budapest’s best viewpoints. We’ll also explore the Citadella, finally open again after years of renovation. Afterwards, you’ll have some free time to explore on your own, grab something to eat or return to one of your favourite spots before we meet for the journey home.

• 🇭🇺 Experience and local knowledge: Between Vít’s experience leading the trip and Odea’s local knowledge, you’ll see the main sights, discover hidden spots and pick up plenty of useful Budapest tips along the way.

• 🗺️ Everything is already organised: Transport, accommodation, tours, activities and nights out are arranged before we leave. You simply join us and enjoy the weekend.

• 🌍 Coming alone is completely normal: You’ll spend the weekend travelling, exploring and going out together, so meeting people happens naturally. Local Erasmus students from Budapest will also join us during parts of the weekend. 😊

• 💙 EiP Card price: 4,990 CZK
• 💶 Standard price: 5,390 CZK
• 🔒 Refundable deposit: 990 CZK to secure your place (spots are limited)

The deposit is included in the total price. The remaining balance is 4,000 CZK with an EiP Card or 4,400 CZK at the standard price, paid in cash in Czech crowns before departure.
