EiP Day Trip to UNESCO Kutná Hora

Ready to discover one of Czechia’s more unusual towns? 😄 This time we’re heading to Kutná Hora, a UNESCO-listed town with a pretty fascinating past. Once one of the richest places in the Czech Kingdom thanks to its silver mines, today it’s known for beautiful Gothic architecture, medieval streets and, of course, the Sedlec Ossuary, a remarkable chapel where human remains have been carefully arranged into intricate decorations. ⛪

It’s an easy trip from Prague, but there’s a lot more history packed into this small town than you might expect. 🇨🇿

• 💀 The famous Bone Church: Visit the Sedlec Ossuary, one of the most unusual places in Czechia, with decorations and even a chandelier made from human bones.
• ⛪ St. Barbara’s Church: See the town’s most impressive landmark and one of the great Gothic churches of Czechia.
• 🪙 A town built on silver: Discover how Kutná Hora went from a mining settlement to one of the most important towns in medieval Bohemia.
• 🏘️ Medieval streets & hidden details: Walk through the historic centre and discover places and stories you could easily pass without knowing what happened there.
• 📸 Some seriously good views: Expect Gothic architecture, old streets, gardens and viewpoints overlooking the surrounding countryside.
• 👣 Time to explore yourself: Once the guided part is finished, you’ll have time to wander around, grab something to eat or revisit the places that caught your attention.
